2015 SANE/SART Training
PASAC is hosting an upcoming Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and Sexual Assault Response Team training in Paducah. This training provides a great educational opportunity for nurses, law enforcement officers, advocates, prosecutors, and others committed to providing comprehensive care and services to victims of sexual assault. This year’s Paducah training is scheduled for September 29th-October 2nd, 2015.
Who should take this training?
This training is recommended for not only nurses, but also law enforcement, advocates, and prosecutors.

The training faculty includes trainers from Forensic Nursing (statewide SANE/SART coordinator), Criminal Justice (from the KSP Laboratory and DOCJT trainers), and Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs staff.
For SANE Nurses:
The SANE/SART training meets the requirements for the 40-hour didactic training required by the KY Board of Nursing for RNs to earn the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner credential. A self-guided 60-hour clinical study is also required to earn the credentials and must be completed within 12 months following the didactic training. How do I register?
To register for the training, nurses, advocates, and others should complete the registration page of the Training Brochure and return to the address below. Law enforcement can register through the Department of Criminal Justice Training.
