PASAC’s Legal Advocacy Program seeks to ease and enhance a victim’s and family/caregiver’s experience with the legal system by providing education and support to victims of sexual violence. A legal advocate is available to answer initial questions, prepare victims for court, attend court, and provide information throughout the criminal and civil justice processes to victims making important decisions in their pursuit of healing and justice.
The legal advocate also conducts follow-up services for ongoing cases and attends Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings throughout the Purchase Area so that PASAC can gather and track information on active cases in the criminal justice system for the benefit of victims.

PASAC’s Family Advocacy Program works with caregivers of children who receive forensic services at PASAC. Advocates offer support and education regarding child sexual abuse and trauma to caregivers throughout the forensic process. Our advocates also work with clients to meet the holistic needs of individuals and families. PASAC advocates provide referrals to third-party service providers seeking to help enable clients and their families to adaptively manage the broad spectrum of effects of sexually based crimes so they may move forward to healing.
