Lotus has a mission to put an end to violence and oppression in the purchase area. Every year, local celebrity male chefs come together to support us and the programs we offer for children, adults and families in western Kentucky.
More than 300 attend this fun event where you can try a variety of culinary creations and bid in our auction. Some auction items include beautiful art projects created by local survivors of violence.
This is our largest annual fundraising event and we are excited to be doing this again for 2019! Mark your calendars now for April 13, 2019 at the Paducah Convention Center.
Who is Lotus?
If you’ve attended Men Who Cook before, you may have noticed our name is a little different. We were formerly PASAC (Purchase Area Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center). Today, we are Lotus. Our mission is still the same, but we now have a larger emphasis on prevention, in addition to our crisis response teams. Lotus has three primary programs:
Our Collective Empowerment team allows us to educate all ages on their role in preventing and responding to bullying, abuse, neglect and sexual violence. Learn more about who we are here.
How Does This Event Help?
This event allows us to continue offering a variety of needed services to children of abuse and neglect, as well as all-age survivors of sexual violence. Through your donation of time, money and talents, we’re able to further our mission to educate the community, strengthen families, support survivors and put an end to violence.
