Support opportunities within this program can range from providing administrative support to our interevention and restorative staff
Our community engagement and outreach volunteers support our mission by empowering communities.
These volunteers support our mission through assisting the prevention education and outreach team with programming preparation, as well as representing Lotus at community events (i.e. Community health fairs, 5K’s, etc.) by setting up a Lotus table and sharing information. These volunteers also assist with planning and executing Lotus community events such as our annual awareness and fundraising event, Men Who Cook, as well as our annual open house and Parent Cafes.
Providing free services to clients means that we ALL have to work together to provide these critical services in our community.
Furthermore, we strive to make our facilities a welcoming, calming, therapeutic area not only for our clients, but for our staff. We value an organized and efficient work environment for our Lotus staff and volunteers. Our admin and development volunteers may assist with general administrative needs of the organization such as assembling prevention program folders, client packets, binders, mailings, filing paperwork, organizing supply inventory, and monitoring cleanliness and organization of client areas.
Our medical advocates provide advocacy to sexual assault victims on-site in the emergency departments of our regional hospitals.
