Growing Together! Festival and Picnic
On Saturday, April 23, Lotus hosted the first-ever Growing Together! Festival & Picnic for survivors, children, and families to enjoy a day of playful activities while building resilience. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with sunshine, laughter, and more than 150 members of the community who came out to show support for Lotus’ mission and join in the fun.
- The Mindful Movement activity was a family favorite thanks to Lotus therapist Beth and the event’s DJ, Ear Candy Audio & Productions.
- The Hope Heal Grow Mobile, as well as the Lotus Sanctuary, was open for tours during the event.
The festival marked a much-anticipated return to community events held at Lotus’s campus. Over the last two years, Lotus has worked to complete its Sanctuary Project, which offers survivors, children, families, and community members enhanced tranquility at our Paducah campus. Lotus staff, board members, and volunteers were also excited to welcome the community to our campus to tour our new Lotus Hope Heal Grow Mobile.
- A special thank you to Jeff Parker, the owner of Catering Company of Paducah, and Bill Bartleman for coming out to show their support as McCracken County Commissioners.
The festival featured fun activities such as face painting, planting flowers, mindful movement, music, family yoga, button making, cookie decorating and more.
We are so thankful to the many businesses in the community who donated food and services to make this event possible. It would not have been possible without Humana Healthy Horizons as the event’s Empower Sponsor, Thornton’s Paducah Sausage Company, Hughes’ Market and Meat Processing Inc., Kirchhoff’s Deli and Bakery, Catering Company of Paducah, Branch Out, Paducah Bank Ice Cream truck, Frosted By Mollie, Coke Consolidated, and HealThy Self with Leanne Johnson.
Thank you to our sponsors for empowering our community to hope, heal, and grow.
